Car rant

I really don't like to rant and rave on my blog very often, but I just feel the need to share this today.

It's no secret, I hate my car.
It is always one thing after another with that car. Every time that I get some money saved up for a down payment on a new car, something happens to my car. Most recently it was the flat tire that resulted in needing new tires. Before that, it was the fuel pump. Before that, some jerk lost control of his car and crashed into me, nearly totaling the thing. It just never ends.

Well a little over a week ago the air condition in my car just stopped working. No warning. It would no longer blow cold air, just hot desert air. Sean spent some time researching it and we spent a night looking at it. We ended up deciding something had a leak because we could hear air hissing out somewhere in my engine. I decided to take it in to a shop to get looked at.

The diagnosis?
The condenser has a hole in it.
It is going to cost me $400.
Perfect.

I seriously hate my car and I think it hates me back too.

There is a new car out there somewhere with your name on it....if only the old one would die or get smashed by one of the diesels on the street!!

I hate to tell you this, but cars are just plain bank account drainers. It doesn't matter if you have a new car note, or surprise repairs. :(
On the other hand, it's always nice to have a new car! We won't even go into one of the cars we have that needs repairs. I could write a book on that car!

That. Sucks. It makes me suddenly glad to have my car (which I hate) because it's under warranty for the entire duration of its lease.

Oh dear, I understand what a pain it is. Can you trade it in and use it as part of your down payment?? That was how I managed to get the one I have now. I did research on what would need the least maintenance for the longest amount of time... and now I have my Lancer. (Now there might be something different available!) I have had really good luck with it. I hope you have better luck soon!!

I know how you feel, I have the vehicle from hell. I bought my first new vehicle and it is an 05 Caravan. Only 11 miles on it when I bought it. It broke down after two weeks. EVERY Winter, the heater breaks. Yes three years in a row. The break line broke, yes we could of all died and they told me "It happens" WTH, oh I could go on. I think some of us are just jinxed when it comes to transportation.

Maybe we should get are cars blessed?
