October goals

I've been a bit behind on reading all of the blogs that I would normally like to visit. I apologize for that, but  hope to visit you all eventually. Anyhow, I just realized that I was tagged over on Debt Free Saver to share some goals for October. October is already well underway, but I'm going to give it a shot anyhow.

Get ready for competition
Cheer competitions that qualify for nationals begin in just a couple months. I hope to have music cut, choreography put together and taught to the squad before this month is over.

Write Randall once a week
I really want to support my brother now that he's gone. My goal is to write him a letter at least once a week. I think this will also help with me missing him.

Training
I don't feel like revealing the specifics of this particular goal just yet because I'm unsure of how I really feel about it as of yet. The few people that know about it have really been encouraging me to go for it and I love that support. So, I'd like to prepare for this goal by getting the proper training. By the end of October I hope to have begun a training plan to help me out should I decided to go for it. Sorry to be so vague...

Make the skirt
I've had a vision of this skirt that I want to make for over a month now. I am terrible at making patterns and I just can't seem to translate this skirt to fabric. I'm going to challenge myself to have this skirt done by the end of October as well.

Budget
My income has changed a lot over the last few months so my old budget has kind of gone out the window. I spend away all of my extra money instead of save, this blog is evidence of that for sure! I need to sit down soon and readjust my budget and stick to it. Debt Free Saver is kind of inspiring me to spend less on the frivolous things, she is becoming so disciplined.

Now that I've given you a little too much insight into my personal life... ;)
I think five goals is sufficient for this month. I'll try to give you an update at the end of the month.

I challenge anyone that reads this post to set some goals for their blog or personal life. If you share these goals on your blog, let me know and I'll check them out!

My main goal is BUDGET too. It always seems around this time of year I feel like I'm so broke. ugh.

Good luck with your goals, I should probably do something like this, but I don't really like goals because I end up depressed when they don't happen.
And you know, by making your own clothes, you're saving money, so good job on that. I bet you could probably find some different patterns online that you could possibly altar to be the skirt you want.
Good luck!

God you are so motivated. I need some serious goals myself. I think I will give it some serious thought. Oh, and I love all the clothes your making. If I was in Utah I think I would be putting in an order...
