The Cold Shoulder + A Resolution

About today's look...
I try really hard to keep my outfits in line with the current season despite what the thermometer says. And where I'm at, most days, that temperature is pretty warm considering the season. As much as I want to bundle up in layers, I also don't want to overheat. So this outfit was my compromise.

Instead of a regular button-up blouse and blazer, I opted for a cut-out button-up with a blazer vest. And instead of boots, I rocked my new Alexander Wang heels that I scored during Shopbop's killer sale recently. Boom, winter outfit with a warm-weather twist!

And my thought of the day...
I'm not much of a resolutioner, I think we should be setting goals and striving to better ourselves all year long. However, I did make one resolution for 2012 and that is to finally get out of the South Bay and into San Francisco.

I'm not going to lie, apartment hunting in San Francisco intimidates me. Everyone I know who has done seems to have endless interviews and open houses, are hunting for months, and have to basically stalk the neighborhood to find a place.

But I'm going to do it. Mark my words!

And if you have any apartment hunting tips, especially for city dwelling, please, please, please share!  I'll love you forever!

Good luck! Just be patient and persistent and you'll find one :) I absolutely love the cut-out top, and those heels are freaking badass :)

I LOVE your shirt and your vest!! it is sooo cute.

As for apartment hinting, I suggest you STALK Craigslist. Also do not move in the summer, everyone moves at that time of year and so rent goes up and you cant get as nice of a place and the competition is steep. (this is a very kind tip I was given by a previous landlord)

I also suggest making a list of everything you want in an apartment (location, appliances, new, old, parking, laundry etc) then see what is a must and what is just a nice to have, this tremendously helped us when we looked for a place and we ended up finding exactly what we wanted.

Good luck! xo

My favorite part of your outfit is your nails of course!!!

Good luck apartment hunting... not sure how tips from a New Yorker translate to how things roll in San Francisco but my advice for you (that is good for all cities) would to be make sure you have thick walls lol :)
