Sparkle and Puff

About this look...
I found this amazing jacket on a thrifting adventure last summer yet this only the second time I have worn it (last seen here). It's one of those pieces where you have to be prepared to turn a lot of heads; whether they think it's super rad or kinda weird, people are going to look at it. The gigantic shoulders, the sparkles, the velvet fabric, the peplum waist--it's a lot of radness for one jacket! I paired it with a simple tee and tapered trousers and bookended the look with my gorgeous Alexander Wang heels.

See a close-up of this manicure in an earlier post.

Tortoise "Number One" sunglasses - Karen Walker | Lips - Revlon Siren | Wishbone necklace - Baublebar | Velvet puffy-shoulder glitter jacket - Vintage | Assymetrical t-shirt - Forever 21 | Navy tapered trousers - H&M | Leather and chain bracelet - Target | Bow ring - ModCloth | "Blanc Bomb" ring - Jewelmint | Curb chain bangles - F21 | Rose gold chronograph watch - Michael Kors | Silver woven ring - gift | Burnt orange "MAC" bag - Rebecca Minkoff (shop similar) | Black patent "Agnete" heels - Alexander Wang

Thought of the day...
Ever noticed how there is just something about sitting in an empty optometry exam room without contacts or glasses that makes you feel incredibly vulnerable? Just sitting there in the quiet, unfamiliar room and everything is a fuzzy blur--it's a bit unsettling!

I had an exam last week hoping to get a current prescription for new lenses. While I'm at it, I decided it's time for new frames. I'm trying out Warby Parker's home try-on service. Can't wait for the five pairs I chose to arrive!

Okay, so I see all the words but I can only stare at the shoes....not listening...just drooling!

Ahaha! You are too funny! The words aren't super important, just look at the shoes! ;)

Ooh, I never thought of that! Thanks! ;)

I can see what you mean about the jacket. It's one of those things that people will either love it or hate it. I, myself, looooove it :)  Kudos for being brave and rocking it! Though, not sure it's fair to pair it with those shoes.  The shoes try to steal all the attention away with their awesomeness!  They look amazing, which means they look like they should be amazingly uncomfortable - are they very comfortable? Oh, and I totally feel you on the eye appt vulnerability. Sitting in a room, no contacts or glasses on and feeling totally helpless. Ugh, hate that.

As the page loaded and I saw the very top picture I freaked out a little because I thought my iht had become a professional model and had failed to tell me. Love this look. So much.

LOL if that were true, you'd be the first to know. I promise. ;)
