Lucky FABB West Recap Part 1

Earlier this week I had the great opportunity to attend Lucky FABB West in Santa Monica. I experience so much in just two days that I'm going to have to split my recap up into multiple parts! Behold, part one!

I arrived early Sunday morning and took the extra time to walk down to the beach and spend some time reading in the sun. However, once I got there, I pretty much spent the entire time people watching. The surfers, the joggers, the cute couples, the young families, the guy with the metal detector--there were all kinds of people there!

I checked into my gorgeous room at the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica. I later found out that this hotel was decorated by the fabulous Kelly Wearstler--no wonder it looked so good!

The afternoon started off with a brunch at the Viceroy for Lucky FABB attendees hosted by the lovely ladies of RewardStyle! The food was great, but admittedly my favorite part was seeing all of the stylish outfits the other ladies were wearing.

There were many neon details in the crowd. This bright mani on Cassidy of Naturally Curly really caught my eye!

I also adored this Tory Burch necklace spotted on Sade of The Icon Concierge!

After the delicious brunch, we boarded a double decker bus for a shopping safari hosted by the gals of Have to Have.

Soaking up a little sun with Carlina of Allergic to Vanilla

On this bus ride, I had the honor of meeting the owner of gorgeous hand-painted manicure, Kelsi Smith!

The bus took us to Abbot Kinney in trendy Venice for a little shopping crawl where a spotted many a thing that I wished to take home with me.

Pssst... Help me win the shopping safari contest by clicking through to #28 and saying that you have to have the Gary Graham dress I spotted at Heist!

And as proof that I can laugh at myself, I present this photo. Take a close look at the outfit; notice anything strange? At some point during the day, I managed to put my vest on inside out (I blame it on travel fatigue!). An not one person said a word to me! I can only hope everyone thought I was trying to start some fun new trend!

"Aly" Sunglasses - House of Harlow | Faceted button earrings - Express | Sheer white button up - H&M | Coral crochet vest - TBA via Mira Mira | Vintage denim vest | Rose gold watch - Michael Kors | Blue "Overnight convertible clutch" - Rebecca Minkoff | White ankle jeans - Levi's | Silver flats (not shown) - Guess via Poshmark

That's all for part one! Check in tomorrow for a recap of the kickoff party at Kelly Wearstler's boutique in Beverly Hills!

Awww looks like so much fun! Thanks for the recap for those of us who couldn't make it!

Can we talk about your white jeans? Amazing! I fear white denim; I'm such a slob. They'd be clean for maaaaaaaaaaybe three seconds. ;) Also, I love that top you scored at Mira Mira! The color is gorgeous on you!

Oh don't worry, Santina, I'm awful with white, too. I took a risk and just bought these anyway. However, I dripped coffee all over my lap on the plane and had to hunt down a Tide pen when I landed. The tide pen made pale yellow spots where the coffee used to be. I've yet to wash them, but I'm worried they're stained. Thanks for pushing me to buy the top and for your help assembling this outfit! ;)

Thanks, Margot! It really was fun! Maybe next time Lucky should hold their West Coast conference in SF? ;)

Hah I love it, people were probably inspired by your inside out vest, we'll start seeing it on celebs now ;-) ! I remember this guy I thought was cute in middle school accidentally wore his P.E. shorts backwards one day so he turned his shirt backwards too, he totally worked it and I always thought he was so cool LOL. Anyways looks like you had a fabb time, great pics!

XOXO,
Kristen
