Top 10 Favorite Products - May 2012

Believe it or not (I hardly can), we've reached the end of the fifth month of 2012! The best part of that is the introduction of a new monthly feature on It's Because I Think Too Much. At the end of each month I'll tell you my ten favorite products I used that month and why I liked them so much!

Behold, in no particular order, the inaugural list!

Neutrogenia Oil-Free Cleansing Wipes in Pink Grapefruit
I've been a long-time consumer of Neutrogena's make-up removing wipes. They clean makeup from my face very well and are especially handy for throwing in your carry on (no liquid, no fuss!). I love the smell of grapefruit so I've always wanted to try the grapefruit version, but couldn't justify the extra cost for the scent in my mind. However I caught them on a buy-one-get-one special and finally got a chance to try them. Turns out, there is more of a difference than just the smell. They made my face warm and feel extra-fresh! They're my new favorite face wipes!

Downy Wrinkle Releaser
I don't iron much. It's not necessarily because I'm too lazy to do it, it's more that by the time I finally decide on an outfit, I usually don't have time to iron before running out the door. That's why I quickly fell in love with Downy's wrinkle releaser spray! You spray a light mist on the garment, smooth, pull, and you're ready to roll!

Essie's A Crewed Interest
The peachy cream lacquer from Essie's Spring 2012 Navigate Her collection is without a doubt my most-used color of this past month. I used it in my pastel leopard print manicure, my floral silk manicure, and my sherbet sparkle manicure, just to name a few! It's a perfect spring basic in Essie's reliable formula!

Julep Elixir Organic Argan Oil
As I've mentioned in the past, I subscribe to monthly Julep Maven boxes. Along with a couple of bottle of nail polish, they usually send one mani/pedi product. Recently, my box came with the their argan oil product. I use it daily to keep my hands moisturized; it's replaced my hand lotion! I've also found it handy for dry skin on my face as well as a nearly-healed burn.

Diane von Furstenberg's DIANE Eau de Parfum
I won this perfume from DVF's Twitter account last fall. Before May, I had only worn it occasionally  because I have too many perfumes. But after multiple compliments while wearing this powdery-fresh fragrance early this month, I've been rocking it on the daily ever since!

Urban Decay Naked Palette
I know I'm super late to the Naked game, but I have so many eye shadows that I simply couldn't justify buying this palette when it came out. You can imagine the thrill I got when pawing through the LuckyFABB West goody bag and spotted the soft brown case! I've been using it all month long and in turn got an ego boost from all the complements on my eye makeup.

Rocking eye shadow from Urban Decay's Naked palette and Benefit's They're Real! mascara

Benefit They're Real! Mascara
Long-time readers of IBITTM are probably familiar with my well-documented obsession with mascara. I wasn't looking for a new mascara when They're Real! came into my life. In fact, I had been using the same mascara brand for a year--unheard of for me. But when I saw the mascara in my LuckyFABB goody bag, I was eager to try it. The brush seemed like the love child of my two previous favorites (Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes and Buxom Lash) and the formula is like a dream. I really feel like I have to tell people that they're my real lashes!

Pams & Kin Grillz
I've used gold glitter polish in many a manicure, but my go to gold-glitter last month was the dazzling bottle of Grillz from Pams & Kin. I love dimension that this mix of glitter has with different sizes of gold glitter flakes with just a hint of opalescent glitter. Pure awesome in a bottle. That is all.

Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain in Flame
I started looking into lip stains in the weeks prior to my engagement photo shoot. I love a brightly-colored pout, but my fiance doesn't like to get lipstick all over his own lips (weirdo). I purchased a few for the shoot and ended up falling in love with Revlon's Just Bitten lip stain in Flame. The hot coral color lasts super long and I don't have to worry about my lips getting too dry since it's a combo product that includes lip balm!

Cake Satin Sugar Hair Powder
It seems that I'm always on the hunt for a killer dry shampoo. With my dark locks, I usually find myself disappointed with how ashy my hair looks on dry shampoo days. Enter Cake's Satin Sugar hair powder. The powder itself is tinted brown so say goodbye to ashy hair. Even better is the fact that this product has allowed me to go even longer between washes! And of course it makes my hair smell like a cake! Yum!

Now it's your turn! I want to know what products you're can't get enough of right now!

Full disclosure: The Downy Wrinkle Release, Urban Decay Naked Palette, and Benefit They're Real! Mascara were part of the goody bag I received from the LuckyFABB West conference, however I was not compensated for this review.

I got the dry shampoo on Amazon, if that helps! Its the only place I had seen it before, but I'm sure other places have it. And thank you for the sweet compliment! That means a lot coming from a beauty like you! ;)

Awesome! I hope you like it!

I've been totally hooked on Julep's Elixir! It's my new go-to for nighttime face moisturizer.  And I wanted to buy Grillz but they sold out at the mani party!

Also, love the nails!

I use the revlon lip stains as well, and they're fantastic! Although they can be toned down, I like to wear them as a bold lip whenever my boyfriend is out with me, that way my lips not going to go anywhere if he kisses me, haha.  This makes me really want to try the Benefit mascara, although I tend to use natural products every day so I probably wouldnt get the use out of it that it deserves :(

I'm the same way! Men are so silly about lipstick, right? ;)

If you do end up trying the Benefit mascara, you'll have to let me know if you like it!

 Thank you so much!

I haven't used it as a nighttime moisturizer, but I might have to try it! I think I bought the last bottle of Grillz at that party--sorry! xo
