Snow Day

Snow Day

When I was born, there was literally a blizzard happening outside. The way I'm told, my parents were sort of escorted down the freeway to the hospital because the police were shutting down the freeway behind them. Because of that, you'd think I'd just love the snow, but I don't. At some point in my life, probably when I became a car owner, I sort of stopped loving the snow. Don't get me wrong, it's good in the right situations--skiing, sledding, ice skating, and on Christmas Day--and mostly only when I choose to visit it. I just don't like having to shovel the sidewalks, scrape the ice off my car, or drive in the snow. Especially driving. Can't do it without intense anxiety as memories of my snowy car accident flash through my mind. Anyway, I digress...

Before this trip to Utah, I hadn't been outside while it was snowing since early 2011! It had been way too long, which is why I was incredibly grateful for a white Christmas. Of course the snow presents a challenge when you know you're going to spend your day out and about in the icy downfall. I had to bundle up in a chunky sweater and boots with my kelly green coat, leopard scarf, fun "Air Quote" mittens, and a leather hat to protect me from the elements.

Despite the dangers of snow, I wish I could witness snow fall like that where I live! I love your polka dot sweater (one of my favorite prints) with the pop of green from your coat!

Just stumbled upon your blog through IFB. I absolutely adore your coat. Color and structure are on point. And that bag is cute! Snow is nice if you're home but once you step outside and deal with the cold...yucky.
