With my farmer's market spoils, I whipped up a juice that any strawberry lover could enjoy. For two glasses of juice, I used the following:
- 3-5 kale leaves
- 3-5 romain leaves
- 3 celery stalks
- 3 handfuls of spinach
- 10-12 parsley springs
- 3 large carrots
- 2 blood oranges
- 1 apple
- 1 basket of strawberries
To test, I tried it on my newbie-veggie-tolerating husband. He's never been big on vegetables, but with my encouragement, he's become much more adventurous and discovering he actually likes vegetables! I handed him a glass of my strawberry concoction and upon tasting it, he admitted it was rather good. "Tastes like strawberries," he said.
I call that success.
