Southwestern Inspired Nail Art

In honor of co-hosting the Red Stripes Boutique Summer Essential Showcase, I crafted a little nail art inspired by one of the skirts from the collection.

I don't do something this intricate very often because, quite frankly, I don't have a whole lot of free time on my hands. But this was a special occasion. I developed my technique as I went and there was a bit of trial and error as I figured out which brushes produced the right look. In the end, I found a striping brush and a tiny dotting tool was really all I needed.

Since I didn't record myself painting the first time around, I've demonstrated my techniques by painting on a nail wheel.

Products used:
  • Red - Revlon in Revlon Red
  • Pink - Essie in Lights
  • White - Illamasqua in Scorch
  • Burgundy - Julep in Keira

And once again, the finished product!
