These jeans have come a long way since the beginning of their lifetime. They actually started out a pale lavender. After wearing them for a while, I gave in to my obsession with dyeing clothing and tried to dye them a burgundy color. That's when I found out that parts of the fabric seemed to have a treatment that made it so the dye wasn't able to work so well in those areas. I thought these jeans were at the end of their story and into the back of the closet they went.
Then a few weeks ago, I found myself needing some clothes that I could paint in. I pulled these neglected jeans out of the depths of my closet, painted some walls, and ended up with a little paint on my pants. That's when I had the idea to just turn these into real painted pants! I grabbed a handful of acrylic paints and a paintbrush, then got my Jackson Pollock on! I kept the back side of the pants a little simpler with some light brush strokes. And I love how they turned out!

I agree! I'm not big into Louis, but somehow it looks just perfect with this outfit. Nice pairing!
