16 Weeks

First, I want thank everyone for the kind words and support you've shown since I announced we're expecting. I'm so excited that the secret is finally out!

Getting dressed has become increasingly difficult as the weeks go on. Apparently I'm not going to be one of those women who get away with wearing most of the pre-pregnancy wardrobe because so many of my clothes are beyond uncomfortable already. I've already acquired a small selection of maternity-friendly options that give my slowly growing belly plenty of room, but I've found it impossible to avoid outfit repeats which is something that I haven't done much of in the last several years.

This black midi dress is going to be a piece that is going to get a lot of wear over the next five months. Why? Because it's a LBD, of course! For this ensemble, I wore it under my super fun patterned bomber jacket and a pick from my small selection of lower heels. I loved all of the pink tones so I accented with rose gold accessories and jewelry.

Be sure to scroll down for outfit details and answers to some of your questions!

Q: Will you find out the baby's gender ahead of time? If so, when?

A: Yes, we are quite eager to know if we're having a boy or a girl! We find out in just a few weeks and couldn't be more excited. I haven't allowed myself to buy anything, with the exception of the little shoes in our announcement post, until we know the answer.

Q: How are you feeling?

A: Tired. The changes are really starting to catch up with me and I can especially feel it when I'm working out. I'm starting to think I'm going to have to tone down the shimmies in Zumba pretty soon.

Q: What are you craving lately?

A: Still ice cream and frozen yogurt. And sushi (which my doctor says I shouldn't have). All the time. Also, a desire for red meat has slowly been kicking in which has made some say they think I'm having a little boy.

Q: Have you picked any names yet?

A: Not so far. I've been keeping a little list of names I don't hate, but nothing sounds just right. Which is fine because we don't even know the gender yet. And, frankly, I'm quite alright without deciding until the baby is actually born.

You were one of the first bloggers i have followed. I enjoy your enthusiam and fresh perspective. When you announced I was glad for you, i have two teenagers and, despite HUGE problems, i would not give up one moment of being pregnant and a mom. That being said, I opened up your blog today and felt "mom-pity", that is, "been there, done that". You looked tired. Don't take this the wrong way, You looked beautiful, springy, and current! But to another mom, we can recoqnize "the look". "The look" is that you are creating another human being, and that is an all encompassing piece of work. Good for you! I feel for you. Good Luck to you. <3
