I think so. You'd just have to prove that you could also do some kind of fancy artisan detailing with it.
You should try. You never know.
I've been thinking about trying with my baby/girl stuff if I get good at making it.
Now... if I just had time to practice!
I've been seeing those hex nut bracelets everywhere the last few weeks. Keep meaning to go to the hardware store and get the stuff to make them but haven't yet.
Etsy can be good, but also check out Yatimi- they have jewelry shop options and I believe they are free unlike Etsy. A friend of mine sells a lot through them.
