Yesterday I had the fantastic opportunity to shop the private pre-launch of Karl Lagerfeld's collection for Impulse at Macy's in San Francisco. Having looked at photos of the collection online ahead of time, I only had one thing on my mind--the faux leather shorts! Luckily, I was one of the first ones in and was able to grab a pair right away! They had live 'mannequins' modeling some of the looks for us and stylists on hand to help us shop which is how I met Juan, a friendly guy in a fabulous houndstooth blazer who made some great suggestions for things to consider. After, I tried on many of the items in the collection I managed to fall in love with a few pieces. Since we were only allowed to purchase two items, I had some decisions to make. After a bit of hemming and hawing, I left the sleeveless black dress with the high white color behind and came home with the high-waisted faux leather shorts and the floral print blouse in a Karl Lagerfeld garment bag!
Once the business was out of the way, I was able to catch up with several of the other lovely and stylish San Francisco bloggers in attendance. Santina, I can't wait to see you rock that dress black dress, Amber, that pink dress is going to be ahhmazing on you, and Maria, I'm stoked to see you strutting your stuff in those shorts and that blouse!
