Ladylike Menswear

Much like I like to pair frilly with tough, I'm also beginning love pairing fall's menswear-inspired trend with ladylike pieces. So when I was thinking about how to wear these plaid tapered trousers, this sheer fuchsia blouse and my nude pumps came to mind right away.

Tortoise "Number One" sunglasses - Karen Walker (shop similar) | Metal diamond earrings - Noble Town Vintage | Lips - Revlon Siren and Nars Heat Wave | Sheer magenta top - F21 | Gold matchstick necklace - F21 | Nude cami - American Apparel | Black belt - H&M (shop similar) | Plaid tapered trousers - F21 | Rose gold "Large Layton" watch - Michael Kors (shop similar) | Gold nugget ring - Belle Noel | Triangles ring - F21 | Gold spike bracelet - F21 | Faceted metal ring - F21 | Black "Everyday" tote - Rebecca Minkoff | Nude "Francesca" platform pumps - Jessica Simpson (shop similar)

Pretty chic, if I do say so myself! ;)

How do you like to wear the menswear trend?

I am definitely into the frilly and tough look, but warming up to the menswear inspired looks.  I tried to wear my top button done yesterday and thought I  was going to suffocate.  #bloggerproblems.  This bright pink looks amazing on you.

xo.

Yeah, sometimes when I wear the top button done I feel claustrophobic and have to undo it for a bit. ;)

I gotta say that as much as I love the menswear trend, nothing I've tried on besides the occasional blazer looks great on me :( I agree that mixing it in with feminine pieces is key though- and I love your pants paired witht hat amazingly girly fuchsia blouse :)
