The Joys of Traveling

This outfit is brought to you by my half-packed suitcases.

I leave this week to spend nearly two weeks in Utah visiting my family for the holidays and that means I need to pack a lot of stuff.

I dread packing so bad. I procrastinate it as much a possible because it's overwhelming to have to plan that many outfits that far in advance. Making it worse, I've got to pack a lot of stuff to stay warm in the desert's below-freezing winter climate. PLUS Christmas gifts for the fam.

I tried to get a jump on packing by throwing a bunch of my favorite pieces into my suitcase a few days in advance. The trouble is, since these pieces are out of play this week, I was having a hard time finding something that I wanted to wear. Digging through my closet, I found this old zebra print cardigan that I haven't worn in ages!

Tortoise "Number One" sunglasses - Karen Walker | Zebra print cardigan - Zara | Chambray shirt - Target (shop similar) | Green jewel necklace - Poshmark | Rose gold chronograph watch - Michael Kors | Blanc bomb ring - Jewelmit | Spiked ring trio - nOir | Black jeans - Forever 21 | Black "Everyday" tote - Rebecca Minkoff | Brown lace-up wedge booties - Deena & Ozzy (shop similar) via Poshmark

What tips do you have for efficiently packing for long trips? I would love to hear them!

I pretty much wore exactly this yesterday, except with a leopard cardi. We are totally soul sisters - I know it! :)

I ALWAYS make a list before I start packing. Then I can just run through it, checking off items as I go. Plus, I love packing - it's like real life Tetris (best video game ever) to me!

That is too funny! Souls sisters for sure!

Tetris?!?! I love that analogy! Too good. So hey, wanna come pack my bags for me? ;)
