As soon as I finished calling my family and telling them that my fella and I got engaged, my next thought was, "People are going to be asking to see my hand all day tomorrow--I've gotta do my nails!"
Immediately following that thought was, "What manicure could possible stand next to my sparkly ring?" Why, a Tiffany-themed manicure, of course!
Since I had a few people ask about the nails, I thought I would share how I did them.
I found my most Tiffany-blue lacquer, which happened to be a bottle from a brand-less set purchased from Urban Outfitters. Two coats of that made my base. For the "white gold" sparkle, I dabbed a bit of Deborah Lippmann's Today Was a Fairytale (and it was!) at the tip of each nail. I swiped on OPI's Spark De Triomphe ombre-style and finished off by randomly placing a few more glitter flakes from the DL polish. I finished off the engagement-ready manicure with my favorite top coat--Seche Vite Fast Dry!
What would make your ideal engagement-ready manicure?

Congrats!! Your ring is a stunner and your nails look so beautiful! I bet the color combo with your ring is amazing.
Thank you so much, Courtney! You're so sweet!
Perfect for showing off the new left hand bling!
Ahh couldnt think of a better color for this time in your life :)
ps. have you tried the Orly 2sec top coat? I highly recommend it too.
you should probably have the ring in the picture too.....just sayin' ;)
You got engaged?!?! Man, going to Israel for a few weeks sure does make me miss a lot. CONGRATULATIONS!! I got married 1.5 years ago so it's still fresh in my mind- let me know if you have any questions! And if it's an SF wedding, I can recommend lots of great vendors :)

Haha You are so funny! Hope your trip to Isreal was fab!
Unfortunately the wedding will be in our home state, Utah. If you know of anything there, I would love to hear about 'em! ;)
I was wondering if I should, but the only picture I had with the ring AND mani was the one I used on an earlier post. It felt redundant to use it again. You can see it here if you want: http://www.itsbecauseithinktoomuch.com/2012/02/best-kind-of-sparkle.html
I haven't tried that, but I definitely want to now!
Thanks, Amber!
Thank you so much Courtney! :)
