I don't know if she knows it, but my mom has passed down a lot of wise beauty advice over the years that has not only stuck with me, but I've been very grateful for as an adult.
One of the first things I can think of is when she used to remind me to pat my face dry rather than rub it so that I didn't stretch or irritate my skin. Same goes for taking care when rubbing my eyes to only rub gently inward with my ring finger to avoid premature wrinkles.
The first time she sat me down with a mirror and a pair of tweezers, she told me to never tweeze my brows too thin. When I asked why, she told me that trends come and go, but over-plucked brows may never grow back to their fuller state.
Over the years, I developed a love for lipstick and nail polish from her own beauty habits of always having her favorite lip color on hand and enjoying regular nail appointments. And to this day, I live by her passing suggestion to just put on a little lipstick to feel instantly better.
On this Mother's Day, I not only wanted to share this advice from my youth, but I've asked her to share some of her best beauty advice for the present. As beautiful a woman she is inside and out, her tips are surely some to heed for your own beauty from within.
Her tips:
- Drink 8 glasses of water a day.
- Keep your skin well protected from the sun--ALWAYS.
- Avoid all alcohol and carbonation.
- Eat healthy and exercise.

all alcohol?! hmm, I'm not so sure I can go there ;) I definitely need to step up my water game though.
