Every time I wear a vest, I think about that Demetri Martin comedy bit:
“I think vests are all about protection. Like the life vest protects you from drowning. And the bulletproof vest protects you from getting shot. And the sweater vest protects you from pretty girls. Leave me alone…can’t you see I’m cold just RIGHT HERE? There’s a narrow cold front sweeping through Chicago, dress appropriately. I’ve got these giant fat arms and a skinny torso, what should I wear?!”
But really, vests are kinda perfect for the Bay Area fall. I really want to pile on fall layers, but it’s not really chilly enough for that. The puffer vest is just the right compromise to get the layered look without getting overheated.
I wore mine over a polka dot shirt and skinny jeans. Since puffer vests aren’t exactly the most figure flattering, I decided to try and combat that by belting it with a leopard print belt. Love me some polka dot paired with leopard print!
