Last night after my shift at panty heaven (Yes, I had a good night there.), I was getting ready to leave. I put on my long, red coat that I bought last fall. I begin to button it up, starting at the bottom.
Button one, just fine.
Button two, broken in half!
Button three, wait... the was no button three, Just the thread that had previously held a button. The thread wasn't even cut or frayed at all. Its almost as if that button dissolved away.
What the crap happened while I was working?! It was just hanging with the rest of the coats, jackets and blazers. Was someone trying it on and accidentally broke the button and took the other one off? Did someone do this on purpose? If so, I can't imagine why.
I'm just super confused as to why and how this happened...
Now, what am I supposed to do? They only sent me one extra button with the coat when I bought it. I've had to wear a different coat until I figure out what I'm going to do.

That is beyond weird. What fabric/thickness is the coat? Cuz this sounds like an excuse to buy cute buttons and sew them on.
