Reasons not to have children

Its seems like the parents in my life are on a mission to make sure that I never want to have children. In my office alone, I could probably write a huge book on the reasons that I've been given not to have children. For this reason, I'm known for frequently declaring that I'll never have children. Let me just say, that I am fully aware that I'll probably end up with children someday in the future, hopefully not in the near future.

I've decided that, mostly for my own entertainment, I'm going to start documenting these reasons that people in my life give me not to have children.

-------

Today, I was reading Help, I Have A Teenager! I was completely shocked by something she said about needing to find out if her son has pubic hair. I can't imagine what reason a mother would have to want to know that information.

So...

Reason #1 not to have children:
The possibility of someday needing to know whether or not your children have pubic hair.

I told you that you wouldn't understand until you have a 14 year old son....I didn't have to ask, both of mine told me!! (You know in the animal world parents eat their young...I think it's an excellant idea!)

I have no idea why you would need to know that.

haha that's so funny. my dad told me I was going to grow boobs after I started my period. Did he really need to tell me that? HA!

Hey Adiel, I've never commented but I saw your blog through Kaboodle, and I wanted you to know I've said no kids for years now. :) Granted, I may mean it more than you do, lol. This reason NEVER occurred to me though!

That is defiantly a good reason. Ha Ha.
I look at my cousins that have gone through rehab or gone to jail for dui's or drugs.
This is a good enough reason for me not to have any kids. To try and keep your kids from all the influences out there these days is definantly not what I'm looking forward to with my girlfriends daughter keida. She's 11 now. Its scary!

Yeah, that's a conversation I don't need to have.
