The exhibit was breathtaking and inspirational. Those dresses have me longing for silk, Chantilly lace, ruffles, and bows! It was hard to pick my favorite but two pieces in particular stood out to me. There was a pouffy white taffeta evening dress with a red carnation print from 1956--I want so badly to wear that dress right now! The other piece was a scarlet-colored silk evening coat with capelet collar from 1954. The color is amazing and the entire thing is so perfect! Swoon!
