The weather where I live has been a bit warmer than it has been for most of the summer so even though it's officially fall and I can't wait to break out the boots I purchased at the Nordstom Anniversary Sale, I'm happy that the warm weather is lingering.

But while I'm waiting to fully transition to a fall wardrobe, I'm having an interesting challenge of trying to appease my eagerness for fall fashion and not wanting to be too warm. This Aryn K. top that Stitch Fix challenged me to style seemed like a great answer to this challenge. It has a draped open back and, while colorful, the muted pattern is great for fall! I tucked it into my black maxi skirt to help with waist definition and to secure the flowy back.

I've had a few questions about how Stitch Fix works so I thought I'd revisit this information again. Stitch fix is currently in beta so you have to sign up for their waiting list (it's worth the wait, I promise!), but if you add my name as a referral, that will help you move up the list! Once you're accepted, you fill out a survey about your size and style, pay a $20 deposit on the box, and they send you five new pieces that you can try on at home with the things already in your closet. You decide what you like and send the rest back in the prepaid envelope that came with your fix; you only pay for the things you keep. Pretty awesome, right?

Each month, you're asked if you want to receive your fix before it's sent. You can accept, decline, or push back a week or two. I love the flexibility of the whole thing and the excitement of seeing what they send you each month.

And I'll leave you with this She & Him song that has been playing in my mind the whole time I've been writing this post.
