Vintage Dots + Ankle Boots

Halloween is closing in on me and I'm still not sure what I'm going to dress up as. Last year I started a voodoo doll costume that I never finished so I thought maybe I would just finish that. So I went to Goodwill last weekend hoping to find a good dress to use as the base of the costume. I found a near-perfect dress, but the one problem is that it wasn't my size. So I left it on the rack. I did, however, find this ahhhmazing polka dot blouse with a super stiff collar. It was way too good to pass up so I took it home with me.

I just love polka dots and I love the way it added a ladylike touch to this otherwise-casual look.

And, in another tale from my weekend adventures, I scored two pairs of booties from Target for a total of $23 dollars. Yeah. Pretty rad.

These boots are one of the two pairs!

Cool, right? Gotta love a good deal!

I wore this look to work and to a Girls in Tech meetup later that day with one of my girlfriends. I won't carry on about the panel, but I do want to share my top quote of the night. At one point during the night, Morgan Missen of Foursquare stated, "Right now America makes two things: wars and websites." I thought it was so funny and kinda true!

Hope you're having a lovely week so far! We're almost to the weekend again! Woohoo!
