When I looked at the weather forecast for last week and saw a 90 degree day, all I could do was shake my head. Don't get me wrong, I love a warm, sunny day, but it's October and I want to wear my boots and sweaters.
Getting dressed for that hot day was a pain. I wanted too look autumn-appropriate without overheating myself. I started with a lightweight grey tank dress and put my black racerback maxi dress on top; the layered look without all the bulk. On top of the layered dresses, I put on my military-inspired blazer.
As far as footwear goes, I tried really, really hard to find something to wear that wasn't my favorite black pumps. I tried on several pairs of sandals, pumps, and booties, I swear! But I guess there is a reason these are my favorite shoes right now--they just look great with pretty much everything!
For a little color, I grabbed my color block tote and swiped my list with a little bit of NARS Heat Wave.
But it seemed almost incomplete until I tied a little knot in the bottom of the dress. Then it was "knot" so incomplete (see what I did there?).
