January bought me a lot of new favorite tools and products so I thought I'd share a handful of my favorites from this month.
Benefit Watt's Up!
This highlighting stick has been one of the best additions to my makeup bag in a while. I had been curious about this product for many months, but was having a hard time swallowing the $30 price tag. Before getting the sample size in my Sephora VIB birthday gift, I was using a mineral powder as a highlighting product. I thought it was meeting all of my needs until I tried Watt's Up! It's so lightweight and easy to blend leaving a natural glow. The best part is that you don't have to use very much because a little goes a long way. That means investing in this long-lasting product is a smart move because the cost per use is going to end up being pretty low.

Tweezerman Rose Gold Eyelash Curler
My cheap old eyelash curler reached the end of it's tenure when I spotted this rose gold tool at Sephora. I won't lie, I bought this curler strictly because I like the way it looks (love me some rose gold!), but as it turns out, it does it's job pretty dang well! It takes very little pressure from me to give me a nice curl and has never pulled out a single eyelash. I'm fully satisfied in this upgrade.

Mason Pearson Pocket Comb
This little comb was a stocking stuffer from my fella because he knew I had been wanting a nice little comb to keep my unruly fringe tidy. Since it's small it's perfect for my purse. I've carried it everywhere since and it has been a major asset to my bangs. Since it's from the world renowned Mason Pearson line, it's obviously very well made and doesn't damage my hair.

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Jaded
Early this month, I received a few free bottles of Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure collection to review the product. I'll be honest, it's been a few years since I have purchased a Sally Hansen nail polish, not on purpose or anything, but I've clearly been missing out. I'm really glad for the opportunity to be reintroduced to this line. I didn't realize what a great formula this polish would have nor how fast and glossy it would dry. But my favorite part of this polish is the shape of the brush. The flat, rounded brush makes for super precise application especially near the cuticle. I received a few colors, but my favorite was definitely Jaded.

Shu Uemura Fiber Lift
I have super fine, flat hair so I'm always looking for a little extra volume whenever I can get it. Fiber Lift has been one of the best volumizing products I've ever tried. A little definitely goes a long way with this product so I would caution against using too much. I would caution against letting your hair air dry when using this product as I've found the product ends up creating crunchy chunks if not properly worked through while heat drying.

I'd love to hear how you use the Watt's Up highlighter. Do you put it on before or after foundation? Do you set your makeup with a powder? If so, do you use the highlighter before you set? Tell me your secrets, because I can't figure it out!
