TopCoat

TopCoat App

It's no secret that I'm a big fan of a little nail art on my fingernails, but lately life has gotten so busy that I haven't had a whole lot of time to spend painting little designs on my own nails. That's why I was so stoked to find out about TopCoat, a web and mobile-based application that allows you to book in-home appointments for a professional nail artist to come and whip up a little magic on your digits. They have some seriously talented ladies on the team and have logged an amazing array of designs to choose from. But that's not all--as of this post, Team TopCoat has a little pop-up shop in San Francisco and they recently invited me to check out their stunning digs and, of course, treat myself to a little nail art!

I was completely mesmerized with their DIY nail polish and tool wall. All the items were hand painted black and affixed to the wall one at a time. Best part? Despite the labels being covered up, I could still recognize every brand just by the shape of the bottle!

They carry options from Illamasqua, Sephora X, Deborah Lippman, Butter LONDON, Floss Gloss, Habit and more!

After I was done admiring their carefully curated nail polish selection and example designs, the lovely Parris, one half of the uber-talented duo Pams & Kin, came up with a completely amazing ombre leopard print design inspired by my Rachel Zoe sunglasses.

I've got to say, this gal as the more carefully working hands and an attention to detail that would rival any brain surgeon. I mean, just look at the detail in this amazing design below!

Finally, as if it couldn't get any easier to have a killer nail art design, TopCoat has gone ahead and made it dead simple to keep your newly painted nails fresh by making sure you don't have to fumble into your bag for your wallet--the entire payment process is taken care of through the app! So genius, right?

After chatting with TopCoat founder Ali Wiezbowski while getting my ten little masterpieces created about how they got their start and her vision for the future, I've got to say I'm a big fan of this company and the lovely people behind it. If you're in the San Francisco or New York area, I definitely recommend downloading the app and booking an appointment right away!
